Joyner Lucas- "I'm not Racist"
This music video doesn't have a lot of key conventions as it doesn't have fast paced editing, however this is because of the lyricism within the video. There is quite a lot of camera movement as it circles the characters.
There is a reference to Donald Trump as his campaign hat "Make America Great Again" is seen on the white character. This is to fit in with a stereotype of a racist white person which fits the narrative of the video and the song.
Audiences may gain pleasure from this video as it addresses 2 different viewpoints. A viewer may hear a viewpoint they agree with so they can identify, however they see the other side of the debate.

·         What’s your personal response?
Personally, i think that the video is quite revolutionary aswell as the lyrics within the song. The subject is a sensitive matter and exploring 2 viewpoints allows people to understand why people of different groups understand each other better. People who are seen as opposites can be more understood.

·         What is the video saying?
The video is reasoning on both parties giving experiences of different lifestyles. The white man speaks about his frustration towards the black community and why he feels so and raises many valid points. These points can be received as they are put in an articulate manor in which both parties would understand. The black man speaks about how different the black experience is and tries to make the white man understand how difficult it is compared to his experience.

·         Do you think it is successful or not? Why?
I        I believe that it is successful to an extent as people are more aware of eachother's situation. The video received over 61 million views, so it reached a wide range of people. However not everyone may take the video as it is intended, and still may be less open top other interpretations which was the intent of the video.
