Makeup Transformation




In this “Star Persona Transformation” turned a normal student into a undead zombie mermaid. The clash of beauty (shown through the extensive make up) and horror (shown through the prosthetic's) created this unique look. Make up such as foundation, eye shadow, eyeliner and lipstick in order to capture the beauty associated with a mermaid. Mermaids were known to be quite seductive and using the make up makes the student look like the stereotypical mermaid. However, the prosthetic's used gives a dramatic twist as it makes her appear to be evil and resemble a zombie. It was used to resemble flesh hanging off her face as if she has decomposed. This is a cliche for a zombie as they 'come back from the grave'. The glitter in the hair also adds to the beautiful cliche of a mermaid.

The makeup used within my video matched the inspiration in the mood board.
